Soft Classical Music & Loud Rushing Water

For the second week in a row, my newborn son’s music dominated my listening charts (see chart below). I am actually beginning to enjoy Baby Einstein’s peaceful versions of classical composers. I find myself humming the pieces later in the day after listening to the albums.

While not in the list below, the most listened-to track in our house has been the twenty second recording of the running bathtub sounds that I Ioop-ed into a four hour track. I don’t know what it is about the loud sound of fast-running water, but @LarsFranz responds to it very quickly by calming down and even falling asleep some of the time.

Excited for Mumford and thankful for a cool wife

I am excited to see Mumford & Sons in concert tonight at Merriweather Post Pavilion. I am also really thankful for an awesome wife who is willing to attend the outdoor concert (in 90 degree heat), while being 7 and a half months pregnant. She is a good woman!

This is one of my favorite Mumford lyrics:

It seems that all my bridges have been burned,
But you say that’s exactly how this grace thing works
It’s not the long walk home that will change this heart,
But the welcome I receive with the restart
